Adolescence is a challenging time for both child and parent.  It’s normal for a teen to want to exert his/her authority and push back against parental need to set boundaries.  Many other issues emerge during this period, including substance abuse, depression, poor hygiene, low self esteem, risk taking behaviors and more.

If you are experiencing difficulties with your teen, it can be very helpful to have someone other than a family member to consult with.

I have many years of experience not only working with teens but also raising three of my own. I helped create a teen club for foster youth at the West Los Angeles DCFS office and also pioneered a mentoring program for emancipating foster youth.  I enjoy working with this age group.
