Depression
Depression can sneak up on you like a thief in the night. If you are experiencing feelings of helplessness, hopelessness, if you are having difficulty with sleep, with motivation, with maintaining a healthy lifestyle, with lethargy, or with substance abuse, depression may be the culprit.
Depression is particularly common for individuals who have had difficult childhoods. If you have had a difficult childhood, the real challenge is to overcome feelings of inadequacy. Overcoming depression is about establishing self compassion. Overcoming depression is about creating a self care program that motivates you to wake up in the morning. In my practice, we collaborate to establish a powerfully motivating intention. Then we focus on creating specific practices that support that intention, including connecting you to your strengths so that you can lead a deeply fulfilling life.
